I just watched The Talented Mr. Ripley, which I found extremely well-acted and even more disturbing.
Honestly, what woman can listen to/see Jude Law and Jack Davenport being murdered in one two-hour period without going absolutely mental? To be honest I didn't watch most of Dickie's death. I actually shrieked so loudly that someone called to ask if everything was alright nextdoor. This was, of course, nothing, compared to me shouting at the television for Tom not to kill "the nice British man"! No avail though. He smothered poor Peter Smith-Kingsley, and let me tell you, I *screamed*. It was a thoroughly embarassing experience. Lucklily Gwenneth escaped unharmed, poor thing. Acting was really, really ace though. Gave me chills. Am not a big Matt Damon fan. Obviously I'm a huge Jude Law fan, and a Jack Davenport fan of obscene, borderline-illegal proportions, or otherwise I wouldn't have rentwed the damn thing. I would type more about the actual quality of the movie, except I keep my house at like, 58 degrees and my fingers cant really move very well right now. Adios.
