In my world... there are a class of people that must feed on the blood of humans. I'm one of them, a vampire. But instead of drinking, I give blood which is completely harmless to humans. I also, um... take their misfortune away for a little while to let them be the person they want to me.

Well um... we vampires are... for a lack of a better word, attracted to the blood of various emotional types, however temporary they may be. She was radiating misfortune, I can sense it, and you see, my need to... bite, someone, happens once a month. If I don't give my blood to someone, I could bleed out... and um... die.

I can understand the necessity of something like that to survive, if you're telling me the truth.

However.

There are channels and means to accomplish this without biting a nine year old girl that is still learning to make her own decisions. You are nearly an adult, so even if she agreed to it, it is your responsibility to act as such. Which you very well have not.

There are dozens upon dozens of humans in Tetha. There are many more that are your age or older, old enough to have the experience in life to make that decision on their own. You will get no pity from me when, if you knew this was a monthly occurrence, you could have made some type of arrangement beforehand.

Instead, what you have done is nothing short of grossly irresponsible.

How do I know that none of the people you've bitten don't have some sort of disease? How do I know you don't? And yet, you injected your BLOOD into my daughter ( ... )
