Look, it's actually about me.

So, I never really update this with anything of note. ...And that is still going to be true. Even so, I thought this seemed like a good excuse to post something vaguely, well, personal, rather than just fandom or fanfic related.

Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

1. Right now, I work in a coffeeshop. I'm too old for the job, I suppose, and the place is privately owned and not making any profit at all, and my boss is pretty much a functional addict...but I'm reasonably happy there, which isn't something I've always been able to say about where I've worked.

2. I love giant robots. No, really. I know you're all enormously surprised. In fiction and roleplay, Optimus will probably always be the easiest character for me to write--in any verse--but I will probably always love Starscream best. Transformers: Animated Megatron also makes me swoon. Just a little bit.

3. I am very likely the only person in the world who thinks that TF:A Bulkhead/Femmescream would be an interesting and workable pairing.

4. Recently I have become very, very bad about some of my online commitments. Especially TR. I really regret that, but it seems like work and life in general has just gotten in my way. I feel that I was probably wrong in coming back to the game, and I chose the wrong character in Lois. Her voice comes to me very easily, but at the same time...I feel as if I have nothing to say with her. I've never done her justice.

5. My original writing has also been taking up a lot more of my time, which is a conscious decision I made after the beginning of the year. I wrote a short story that I'm actually sending to fantasy fiction magazines, and I received my very first (vaguely supportive) professional rejection letter the week before last. I'm a real writer now, lol.

6. A couple of years ago, this probably wouldn't have been so far down on the list, but it's no longer such a defining aspect of my life. I've had genital herpes since 2004. I wish I didn't feel as if I still had to defend myself by saying that I wasn't sleeping around, and I was just very unlucky (my partner had absolutely no symptoms, which is extremely common), but the stigma attached to this particular STD is still an unpleasant constant. Although I don't consider having herpes as part of my identity, per se, it has unquestionably shaped my personality and my lifestyle. Incidentally, this will be the first time I have ever mentioned this outside a filter. It's like coming out, I guess.

7. I'm bisexual, which also no longer seems like that big a deal. I've had long-term relationships with both women and men.

8. Every year since 2004, I've done Nanowrimo. I didn't finish in 2007, and that still sort of pisses me off.

9. For the past six months, I've been sharing an apartment with a friend I've known since middle school (holy God, sixteen years), and I'm really very happy. She doesn't do much housecleaning and I wish to God that she would put her dishes in the dishwasher and stop leaving trash and shit by the side of the couch, but I love her to death. (I'm also sure she has similar complaints about me, haa.)

10. Sometimes I wish that my best friends weren't people I've met online. Then we could hang out any time, rather than having to fly halfway across the country to see each other. But I certainly wouldn't give any of you up for something easier. Ever. *SNUGS*

11. My favorite book is The Last Unicorn, by Peter S. Beagle. I also love Deerskin by Robin McKinley and The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. My favorite song of the moment is "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay, and my all-time favorite song is probably "Seven Wonders" by Fleetwood Mac.

12. Even if I become as magically prolific as Stephen King and make several million dollars on my own writing (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASKDFJSLDKFJ)...I will probably never be able to stop writing fanfiction. It's just something I absolutely love to do. Current projects include a collaboration fic with my dearest lady_oneiros, the last part of Seven Days, and something ridiculous.

13. If you'd like to follow me on Twitter, I have the same name as this livejournal. I talk nonsense all day.

14. Apparently I have some sort of insane, pathological love for cranky doctors. I've loved Ratchet since G1, and the new Star Trek movie has only reawakened my longstanding adoration of Dr. McCoy. I won't say that I'm a Trekkie--I was always much more of a Star Wars girl--but the franchise has always been part of my background noise, if that makes sense. I think my Dad had every episode of TNG on VHS tape...not in any order, and not that he ever actually watched them again, but the love was undeniable. "I'm a doctor, not an escalator!"

15. I have seen every episode of Spongebob Squarepants, and I love it. No, I will not attempt to explain why. There is no explanation. "Imaginaaaaation."

16. Once upon a time, I actually went to art school and graduated with a Bachelor's in Media Arts and Animation. If you want to take a look at my work, you can see my stuffs on the website linked to my livejournal. Here it is, for the especially lazy: Book of Days

I will now be taking questions from the studio audience. *snerk*

Love you guys. ♥
