So. How many people do you know that get excited when they incorporate words like "polymath" and "magnum opus" (okay admittedly that's more of a phrase) into their lyrics? Because I did, and I'm ridiculous amounts of proud. It feels kind of pompous and conceited, but. -shrugs-
Anywho... so here's the couple lines I have.
Polymaths of destruction and hope
A magnum opus of bruises and dope
Yes? No? Maybe? I'm considering changing the second line to "Magnum opus of bleeding faith" and building a separate verse off of it. I also have another couplet but I'm not sure it's for the same song. In fact I'm 99% sure it isn't. Hell, it might not even be for a song.
Never believe what you're told
No Philosopher's Stone to make you gold
I think I was taking a stab at pop culture (Harry Potter, even though I really liked those when I was younger, who didn't?) at the same time as trying to illustrate how naive (sp?) some kids are, growing up believing that their lives will be handed to them on a silver platter. Yeeeaaah. So apparently this has become where I rant about writing... not sure how that happened, but it's fun even if there's only one person who might even comment on this xD
