Weirdest shopping experience ever

For many moons my beloved and I have quested over hill and dale to find the perfect quilting machine.   Today, as luck would have it, we wandered into a small shop in Kirkland which had a Baby Lock professional quilting machine for the low low price of $999.00.  Additionally it comes with five years of free labor on repairs.  What a deal!  So we ( Read more... )

I know of a quilting shop that gives longarm lessons. After I take some, will you let me rent time on your machine?

If I ask nicely with sugar on top?

I dunno, free lessons rock, and you don't have to wait long for 'em. :-) Though I do think they should have said something a bit earlier, cause that is just weird to whip out of nowhere.

It was pretty clear that the guy thought I was overstating my sewing abilities. Joe and I both got the feeling that he thought I was terribly inexperienced and just looking for an expensive new toy.
