This was problematic mostly in that it totally cut me off from Joe since I’m out of phone cards. I tried calling through my cell phone, direct, and collect but all the directions were in Portugese and I didn’t know how to

I have loved Curitiba for years, but never been able to go. I actually have two friends going down there for surgery too. I'm not sure if it's the same kind of surgery, but I guess Curitiba is one place that this kind of surgery is legal. Good to see your blog. And, I am sooo jealous. I want to go there so bad.

Nice to meet you :-) Curitiba is indeed a lovely place. I enjoyed it very much. My friend was there for a Duodenal Switch (byepass surgery of sorts) with Dr. Marchisini. Best of luck to your friends!

Nice to meet you. I believe my friends are going down for the same surgery you mentioned. I think Curitiba is known for this now. Glad you had a chance to go. I hope to make the trek one day.
