Good mood much? I hope so!

Nothing very lovely to report. Ziren is in Myrtle Beach and Kohaku has begun to post her book/story on fictionpress. I have been on the computer ever since I woke up at eleven, of course. *sigh* but I did start posting up Flamed Corruption under a new name; For Mentality's Sake. And then I posted my oneshot about Yukina being a diabolical Genius. I think I may have made her less diabolical though. Oh well.

Ziren is to blame for the Asylum and Innocent Genius because she prompted the ideas. Horrible bitch.

Ziren the little pyro bitch is her name. Grrr ... heh.

Whatever. There isn't much else to report, although I could tell you that Kohaku bought the 28th volume of Ruroni Kenshin (the last volume of the series) and she also bought volumes three and four of D.N. Angel. I want the fourth volume of Demon Diary because that is such a good series. I have all up to three and I believe there is seven or eight in the series altogether. I must get them all! Then I will feel uber special!

Tata loves!

(ppst! You can read the oneshot about Yukina, okay? But I would appreciate if you left a piece of hysteria about it, as a sort of review of what you thought).

Innocent Genius

White and sleek, it was the epitome of her creations so far. It was only the size of her thumb nail, but she knew it was more than likely to do the trick; 97% sure, to be exact. The only thing was to make sure nothing looked amiss, which was something she was sure wouldn’t be too difficult, because she had become extremely skilled at her masquerade.

“What’s taking you so long in there, we’re hungry! OW! What was that for!”

“For being rude, Yusuke! Yukina is going as quickly as she can, so stop pestering her!”

Yukina couldn’t help but smile at how clueless her friends were. Deftly reaching for a cup, she dropped the small pill into it and swirled it around to make sure it mixed itself up well enough.

“Hey Yukina, would you like some help?” Keiko walked into the small kitchen and stood beside the small koorime.

“Yes, that would be nice,” Yukina replied softly as she took up the tray of drinks and headed into the dining room. All her friends had come over to stay for awhile. It seemed that they all had a mission to attend to and found that Genkai’s temple was the most suitable place during that time. All of them were currently seated around the low table in a comfortable atmosphere; even Hiei had been convinced to at least sit. Yukina set out all the drinks, making sure that everyone got exactly the right beverage.

As she sat Hiei’s drink before him, she asked quietly, “Please Hiei-san, at least have a drink. I don’t want you to go without food or drink; it isn’t healthy.”

Hiei stared at her before turning away abruptly and drained his cup, then handed it back to Yukina without a word. Yukina smiled softly and whispered a ‘thank you’ then went back to get what Keiko hadn’t already brought to the table. The small ice maiden was quite pleased with herself, and couldn’t help but keep a smile off her face as she reentered the dining room setting.

Botan looked up when the girl entered and asked, “What has you in such a smiling mood, Yukina?”

“Oh, well I’m just glad to have you all over. I love to cook for you all,” Yukina replied kindly in her gentle lilt, taking her seat between the ferry girl and Master Genkai.

“You know we always love a good Yukina-cooked meal!” Botan said with a laugh, giving the girl a small pat on the back.

“Thank you.” Yukina continued to smile as she sipped her green tea and watched everyone else go about chatting and eating. Nothing was amiss; just as it should be.

The lights were now snuffed out for the day as darkness enveloped the temple and all of its surroundings. The blanket of night had an eerie affect on the temple, but no one seemed to notice it. Each of the guests were sleeping peacefully on their futon, dreaming of a variety of different things.

“No, no ... bad kitty ... you don’t attack Kuzuma ...”

“I love you too, Keiko ...”

She was in the arms of a beautiful man. Suddenly, blue spirit energy ripped through the man’s head and Yusuke stood there ...

The night was damp as Youko dashed between the trees, his pouch jingling merrily against his thigh ...

Kuwabara ran, screaming bloody marry as he chased after the fool with his katana glinting in the sunlight ...

Koenma gazed into her light magenta eyes and brushed a strand of her cotton candy blue hair out of face and tucked it behind her ear. “Botan ...”

One door silently slid open and a small foot stepped out, followed by a body clothed in black from head to toe, as the ninjas once dressed for missions of great secrecy. The person expertly navigated the halls of the temple, making their way to a specific room with ease. The door to this room was slid open after a moment’s pause to make sure no one knew of their presence. Inside lie a forlorn demon clothed in black slacks and no shirt. He was laying atop his futon without ruffling the sheets and his hair stuck up as perfectly as ever in it’s naturally spiked way.

The sneaky intruder of Hiei’s room stepped up beside him and knelt down gently. When they poked at him and he did nothing but twitch in his sleep, the material covering the person’s mouth twisted with the hidden smirk; the plan was unfolding flawlessly. Taking out a plastic bag from a hidden pocket along with a pair of tweezers, the stalker slowly and carefully plucked a strand of the fire demon’s hair from his cranium. Hiei growled in response and the figure beside him froze, crimson eyes staring at him in hopes that he wouldn’t wake. There were a few tense moments, but Hiei’s body lapse back into a less agitated state and the ninja imposter was able to breath more easily.

The extracted hair follicle went into the plastic bag and with a strange fluidity, the intruder stood back up and exited just as mysterious and silently as they had come. With silent agility, the person swiftly left the temple and walked along the surrounding grounds. At a point, they stopped and bent down, a gloved hand brushing the surface of the grass softly until it found what it was looking for; a hidden panel connected to a metal door covered in grass. The hand precisely dialed the correct password and the door slid aside to reveal a small set of stairs going down under the earth. The ninja quickly skipped down the metal stairs as the door slid back in place above their head and walked into a bright room ... or a laboratory to be exact.

The black hood encasing the person’s face was pulled away and the identity of who it was that took Hiei’s hair as a sample was revealed. Her mint green hair had abandoned the red ribbon and was tied up with a small black band to keep it away from her face and her crimson eyes scanned the chemicals and test tubes with sincere love. Just then the metal door slid away with a hiss and another person came down the stairs with a matching plastic bag in hand.

“Master Genkai,” Yukina nodded as the old psychic pulled off her own hood and handed the koorime the bag.

“That airhead almost beat me with her bat in her sleep,” Genkai snapped. “Your experiment had better work.”

“Right.” Yukina walked over to her test table and pulled the hair from Genkai’s bag out and used the tweezers to place it in tube. Hiei’s hair went into the tube next to it and then Yukina gave a small laugh. “Brother will be shocked when he wakes up in the morning.”

Genkai heard her, but chose not to reply, knowing full well that when Yukina was busy with a new experiment, she didn’t take lightly to being interrupted. She worked better in silence and her anger was a fair match to Hiei’s, just more potent since she didn’t express it as often as her twin.

With her slim and quick hands, Yukina expertly poured chemicals and a few other sampled things into each tube then took them both and mixed them together in a beaker set atop a Bunsen burner. The flame flickered into existence and boiled the chemicals. Yukina made sure that the two different hairs didn’t burn away before snatching it out of the heat and took it over to the capsule she had awaiting it. The beaker went in one and Yukina snapped a finger, alerting Genkai to ready the featureless vessel in the adjacent capsule.

Yukina smirked as she tossed a pair of safety goggles Genkai, then placed a pair on her own face. Walking over to a panel set before the capsules, the small ice maiden began to deftly press buttons and finally paused on the last one as a wicked grin twisted her features. She pressed the large, neon green, square button and gazed at the flashing lights that began to dance within the capsules.

The light show only lasted for a few moments, but Yukina felt as if it had been forever. In her excitement, she rushed over to the capsule holding the vessel and opened it. When her eyes fell upon the naked and alive creation in the capsule, she let loose melodic maniacally laughter.

“What are you laughing at?”

Sunlight flooded Hiei’s room and washed over his face. The sudden light irritated him and his face scrunched up with it.

“Wake up, sleepyhead!”

Hiei slowly opened his eyes and waited until they focused. The sun wasn’t in his face anymore, but what he was looking at startled him even more.

He was leaning over himself with a bright smile on his face.

“Who the hell are you,” Hiei snapped.

“Well, I was told my name is Gikei, but I look an awful lot like you!”

This person sure did look a lot like Hiei, but his voice was nothing like his. It was bubbly, high pitched, and reminded Hiei a lot of Botan. There were slight differences between himself and this Gikei person; where Hiei’s white hair was, Gikei’s burst was a light blue. Gikei had light pink eyes, and he was dressed in a pair of black pants and pink tanktop.

And ... he had ... breasts?

Hiei’s eyes widened and Gikei noticed where he was staring. Wrapping her arms around them, she said, “These are mine, Hiei-san. No-touchy.”

“Hn. Like I want those things,” Hiei spat out with disgust, standing and walking out. Gikei followed after him and asked, “Are you going to eat breakfast?”

Hiei didn’t grace her with an answer, instead, he suddenly flitted off into the trees. When he felt that he was a fair distance away from the temple, Hiei sat in a tree and thought to himself, what ever the hell that was, it wasn’t me.

“What are you thinking about?” Gikei’s face was suddenly imposing itself in front of Hiei’s.

Hiei shoved the face away and Gikei shouted, “Hey, that isn’t very nice, Mr. Hiei!”

Hiei jumped off of his perch and began zipping through the forest. Not moments later, Gikei was running beside him, matching his speed and agility. Hiei was shocked, but didn’t let it show, only sped himself up and watched as Gikei easily matched it again. They ran like this for awhile but suddenly, Gikei stopped and turned back toward where the temple was, then waved at Hiei and shouted, “I’ll see you later Mr. Hiei. Yukina is calling me!”

Hiei stopped at the mention of his sister. He didn’t trust this thing and if it was going anywhere near Yukina, he was going to be there to watch and kill. He turned around and began back for the temple and when he finally got to the kitchen he saw Gikei give Yukina a hug. The koorime laughed sweetly and patted the girl on the back, then told her to help her take some of the trays of food into the dining room. Gikei complied and the two of them made the trip, then sat down to eat.

Hiei growled and entered to see that everyone was staring at their new guest with awe and strong interest. When he came into view, they all swivelled their heads to stare at him, then went back and forth between the two of them in amazement. Kurama was the first one to finally speak up.

“Gikei, how did you get here?”

Gikei looked to Yukina who answered softly, “I found her outside last night when I went out to douse the garden lights. Everyone else was already asleep, so I gave her some clothes and let her sleep with me. I already asked Genkai if she could stay with us. She doesn’t remember anything before the garden.”

“Can anyone tell me why she looks so much like shorty?” Kuwabara snapped.

No one answered him and he got the idea. No one knew anything about this girl except that she freakishly resembled Hiei and acted childish; she also seemed quite attached to Yukina. Breakfast past quietly, but Hiei still couldn’t stop glaring at the girl as she ate. Botan sat near her and he quick assessed that Gikei’s eating mannerisms strongly resembled the way Botan ate.

Unknown to Hiei, Genkai was watching him closely as she silently ate. She noticed how keenly aware of Gikei he was and sighed. When breakfast ended, she pulled Gikei and Yukina aside.

“Hiei is too curious about his clone, Yukina. We can’t let anyone know what it is you did.” Turning a sorrowful face to Gikei, she said, “We’re going to have to get rid of you.”

Gikei fearfully grabbed Yukina’s hand in her’s and shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes. “No, I wanna stay! I don’t wanna go away! I like it here!”

“I know you do, Gikei,” Yukina said quietly, head down, “but Genkai is right. Don’t worry though, we aren’t going to--kill you. I couldn’t bear it. You just can’t stay here with us. You are in more danger with Hiei here than if you went away, do you understand?”

Gikei nodded and wiped away the few tears that had rolled down her cheeks. “I understand.”

Yukina kept Gikei in her room for the rest of the day, away from everyone else. When they asked what happened to her, she said that she wasn’t feeling well. They all accepted the answer and left her alone. Night fell quickly and Gikei was quickly rushed out to the lab.

“What about here?” Gikei asked as she looked around her. “I like it here too. Can I stay here? You can visit and I would be close!”

Yukina looked to Genkai questioningly and the pink haired woman nodded slowly. Gikei saw her nod and cheered happily. “I swear I’ll be a good girl!”

Yukina smiled and went about setting up a makeshift bedroom for the childish girl in one corner of the lab. Gikei loved it and immediately laid down on her futon and said, “Good night, Mommy!”

That made Yukina feel warm inside; she had created Gikei and deserved the title of mom because of it. Kneeling down, Yukina softly kissed Gikei on the forehead and then walked to the stairs. Genkai went up before her and left, then Yukina whispered, “Good night, Gikei.”

The lights went out and Yukina exited the lab, sticking the note into her pocket as she did so. To cover up for Gikei’s disappearance, Yukina had helped the girl write out a run-away note stating that she felt herself being called to someplace else so she had left inconspicuously. Silently, Yukina wondered if she could clone Kurama and Keiko together; the product was sure to be a smart one.
