Oooh. Two posts in one day --a record for me!
Severe whining alert.....
So I am home sick today. Thought I had gotten over my cold/flu thing from last weekend. I was wrong. My throat started to get sore again on Wednesday night and when I woke up yesterday morning, I knew something wasn't right. Managed to make it into work, but by 10 the pain in my throat was so bad I couldn't swallow. Made it over to the nearby walk in clinic. There the doctor told me I had a throat, sinus and ear infection, and that I was going to be very very sick for the next 3-4 days. He was right.
Went home yesterday around noon. My fever was 102C by then. My regular temp is a bit lower than average at 97.5 so I went to bed right away. Would have slept all day and night I think, except the side effects of the antibiotics kept me travelling to the bathroom. It was really funny when I took my temperature, I told hubby that it was 102 and he said "that's good, then" I looked at him like he had two heads.. Can you tell he has never been around children or had to care for someone who was sick? What a goof... If I thought I had someone who was going to look after me yesterday, I was sadly mistaken. He was very sweet though, and got me a cold cloth and a drink when I needed it. He's still a goof though. But I knew that when I hooked up with him...
At least I can swallow a bit better today. Eating lots of pea soup and oatmeal, though. Mush food is fun. My ears are ringing today, so I don't know that that means.... I don't know whose voice I have, but it isn't my own. My own mother wouldnt recognize my voice right now! haha
I really hope for two things
1. I'm better by Monday, as I can't afford to miss more work.
2. Hubby borrows me a laptop from work so that I can update from upstairs. We have a wireless network, but I'm stuck in the freezing cold basement. I know that's not good for me, so I had best wrap this up
End of whining warning.........
My cat is running circles around me and whining incessantly. I think he wants to play. If only I had the energy. Once, I'm done this update, I am heading back to bed for a nap. Ok, ok, maybe I will play with the cat a bit first. He hates being ignored and just bit my heel. I swear the cat runs the house. Truly...
For those of you on my Flist who are battling real battles, please excuse my rant and whine. I do normally try to keep these such things in perspective, but it just got away on me a bit today...

And ((((Samarra)))) please get checked by a doctor. I'm worried about you! Bladder infections can be so bad, especially if they spread. and so painful!
