Far away

Totally loving Nickelback's new album, even though "Savin' Me" has already been overplayed, but their next single off the album, "Far Away" has totally taken me by storm. The lyrics, the melody, Chad's voice....Mmmm, what can I say, I've always been a sucker for a somewhat raspy, passionate voice. That explains Bryan Adams back in the 90's. Besides, if you listen to the lyrics, it certainly reminds me a lot of my own personal situation: being so far away for so long with an interest down here.
I love you,
I've loved you all along.
I miss you,
You're far away for far too long.
I keep dreaming that you'll be with me,
And you'll never know
That I'll stop breathing if I don't see you anymore.

Okay, without the song itself it can almost sound kinda stalker-ish.

On another note, I've got this...feeling,weird sense, I don't know, but I just feel that SOMETHING big/important/different is going to happen soon. Like something inside is just bursting with it, and I don't know if I'll be the cause, or it will happen to me, or what. I just wish it could happen soon so I could stop feeling like it's the second before someone turns on the lights to a surprise birthday party.

Yay! Tomorrow Adam and I are going to pick up two cats--2 males (or at least used to be) one 8 months (I picked him out) and the other 10 weeks (Adam's) I've been thinking of names and doing some research into stuff that I am interested in. I used to be REALLY big into Greek mythology, and I found one that fits and I like how it sounds--Zagreus. Supposedly the god of hunting and animals. I was thinking of Bast, the Egyptian goddess of cats, but hey, I don't want to confuse the poor animals on their gender. :) I could call him Zag or Zack for short.

Ugh, I had to work today on my day off, but it was for a good cause. Work today, get August 5th off without having to use vacation or floating holidays. Unfortunately, one of the reasons they wanted me today was they needed extra help since they were expecting our "unpredictable" Quality Assurance (QA) auditor, who's a jerk. I've never really been there for one, I'm always showing up as he's finishing, so I was kinda nervous--I don't want to be the reason we fail an audit! Because failing an audit factors into the end of the year bonus, so I have a stake in making it work. But honestly, I'm tired of jumping to attention for these guys every month, never knowing when (though Lloyd, my boss, seems to know at least 3 hours ahead of time). I think I need out...but do what? It would take me at least another year of classes and NOT working this job just to get into Tai Sophia Institute to study Natural Healing or Acupuncture. My dad keeps heavily suggesting trying out for the fire department, which again would require several months of hard core training and cardio at the gym--which I wouldn't mind, but I'm not on-fire motivated to do that again.
