Oh,what a night! I decided to be adventurous and go out with three other shift managers--Jess from Philadelphia, Jillian from Boston-Logan, and Rich from Westchester County. We piled into Rich's Sonata, and promptly got lost trying to get to his friend's house. after about 20-30 minutes of driving around everywhere, we finally got near his friend's place and parked. We walked about 2 blocks to the subway, got our tickets, and got on the #7 line which ran right into Times Square. It was an amazing view when we finally emerged from underground, even it was at night: the building just kept going up and up! I saw the HUGE multiple TV's they have, the Hard Rock Cafe, the ESPN Zone--it was just amazing. Friggin cold though. I forgot to bring a hat or scarf, Jillian and I were very tempted to buy one off a street vendor. We ended up at a restaurant, I don't remember the name, it was on the corner of 44th and 8th, I think. Rich's friend's girlfriend worked there, so we went in and ordered dinner and drinks, and at the end Becky (the girlfriend) bought us each a SoCo shot with lemon--it was good! We went across the street to an electronics store and I bought a charger for my cell phone for $20 (which I promptly left on the subway, silly me.) I think we'll have more fun tomorrow, when the whole group has to go out, we have a planned group dinner at a little Italian place called Il Felice. We passed by it on the way back to the hotel, it doesn't look like much, but only time will tell.
I offically miss Adam now. Talking to him on the phone tonight after my whole night of seeing the eclecticness of New Yorkers made me realize how incredibly good I have it with him. We play to each other perfectly in just about every way--I felt nothing off many of the people I met today, many of them guys. It's like they're on autopilot going through their day, I can't understand it. But I do miss Adam now, and tomorrow is our 9 month anniversary and I won't be there for it! :( He gave me a mysterious message over the phone though: he said to call him after I got out of class and went to the front desk.
Could he? Would he? It's been so long, do I dare to dream that he maybe sent flowers??
Maybe I should go away from home more often. ;) I love him, plain and simple.
