Yeah, I had so much fun. Your friends are so nice. I really enjoyed talking to Courtney at the Happy Hour. And then awhile after you left, I sat down at the German table and talked to Brett and Rebecca for awhile. And then I mingled some more. And then around 10, I ran into Gabe, and he invited me to go downtown to someone's (obviously I know who it is now but it was unknown at the time) apartment. And I was feeling adverturous, so I said sure but someone has to ride with me. So then Gabe rode with me. And that was fun because since he went to Oberlin, we talked about stuff related to having gone to weird schools for undergrad. The place we were going was Gerritt and Allison (who am guessing you know too)'s apartment. And so I met them and they are really interesting and fun. And I think they like me, because they invited me to their Christmas party. And Brett and Rebecca came a little later. And we all hung out until 2AM and then I drove Rebecca and Gabe home. So, basically, I like your friends and in general it was just super fun to hang out with new people.
YAY! I am glad you met Gerritt and Allison, they are GREAT. And their Christmas party is going to be super fun because it is retro themed (which I am sure they told you). Gabe and you also would probably have a lot to talk about in terms of music, because he is very big into the music scene, and has his own radio show on WTJU and such. Basically, I heart the German dept, and am glad that you like them too. :)
Yeah, I am really excited about the party. I think it will be a good way to meet more new people, and you know I love to dress up. I have this really fun vintage dress from the early 60s that I am going wear. And I am glad to hear that you are going too, because I will not be nervous that way.
Also, am I correct in inferring that Gabe has a lady who lives elsewhere?
Yes, Gabe's girlfriend is Rachel. They've been dating a super-long time, and I don't think people would be surprised if they get married once she is done getting her degree (she goes to school in Harrisonburg, I think, something like that, I've only met her a few times). Usually she is here or he is there every weekend, although the last two weeks I think for work reasons they've been staying put.
