Several Unrelated Things
1. Happy Bastille Day!
2. I've been thinking a lot over the past few days about how much I appreciate boys with wonderful bright smiles. I've noticed lately that boys who smile amazingly can seem really attractive to me even if I wouldn't find them exceptional at all based on anything else about their physical appearance.
3. Life in Sarasota is becoming sort of odd now that I am in the second half of summer. I feel like I am operating in a world that has a total different time frame than everyone else's. I see those around me beginning to be excited about the fall and anxious for summer to be over, while I am overcome with the desire to spend every second reveling entirely in the experience of being here and in the company of the people here that I care about, not because I am unexcited about my upcoming adventure, but merely because I am so uncertain as to whether I will ever experience anything like this time in my life again. Who knows what will happen in this world during the 5 months I am away? On that note, everyone who reads this, lives here now, and is my friend is thoroughly encouraged to hold me accountable for hanging out with you a lot over the next few weeks. I want countless beautiful memories of Florida to reflect on a few months from now when I am freezing to death in the arctic Parisian winter. So, let's start planning fabulous things ASAP!
4. I am going to have a really stellar going away party sometime in the weekend before the first week of classes since I will still be lurking around New College then. Any suggestions as to how to contribute to the sensational funness of this party are welcome.
