Just read a lovely piece by lazy_neutrino that really fits my mood at present: Five Easy Pieces. Author's summary: Five ways Albus Dumbledore betrayed Severus Snape. Set near the end of HBP. 1,100 words.

You don't need to know any more than that, really. But the story strikes me as a fitting tribute to HBP as the end of canon approaches.

While I'm reccing, I've been reading an absolutely brilliant multi-chaptered story set during the summer after HBP: Back to the Garden (link to contents page) by antosha_c. The pairings are many and various (although really, you could read this for plot alone), including Harry/Luna/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Ron/Pansy, Pansy/Draco, Neville/Susan and Remus/Tonks with past Remus/Sirius. The story has just been completed, so no worries about WsiP.

The writing is consistently excellent, and both the plot and romance threads have me enthralled. The characterisation is wonderful; Luna, especially, is the star of the show, but everyone is almost exactly the way I picture them.

I'm running out of superlatives, so I'll stop :). But seriously, if you're getting paranoid about spoilers but don't want to leave fandom for the next week, you could do a lot worse than immerse yourself in this story. If you do, you'll see several rather flaily reviews from me in the comments. I do try not to flail in reviews, but this story is just that good!
