I've had such a busy weekend that I completely forgot Remix would open while I was asleep, so that was a lovely surprise to wake up to!
My remixer has produced the most wonderful story. It's a remix of one of my very old Remus/Sirius stories,
The Apple Loft - a story which, although it's, um, five and a half years old now, is still one that's very close to my heart. So I was nervous to read the remix, but I shouldn't have been, because it's a beautiful story, expanding the lead-up from Remus's point of view, and portraying the situation in such a way that I was smiling pretty much throughout the story and blinking back tears from about halfway through. It's a special story that can make me do that.
The way the writer has portrayed Remus and Sirius both individually and as a couple is so exactly the way I see them that I suspect s/he knows me well. If not, I am even more impressed! Thank you, mystery author.
The Apple Loft (The Cidery Goodness Remix) by Anonymous. Remus/Sirius, 1,237 words, rated G. In which Sirius is grumpy, and Remus tries to help.
ETA: I suspect my own story is pretty hard to spot this year (or maybe not!), so kudos and a drabble to anyone who guesses it correctly. Comments screened, so guess away!
