Calling gmail users

I recently switched my LJ and IJ comments over to gmail, because I can't stand Yahoo's new email interface. The "conversations" feature works brilliantly for my personal and work accounts, but I'm not sure it's so good for LJ. Mainly because it's really easy to miss new comments, and because it occasionally mixes up comments from different posts. Does anyone else use gmail with LJ, and if so, do you have any tips for not missing comments?
