Running the creative hamster wheel
Been trying to kick my ass back into gear writing the original stuff, but it's been tough going. The Vampire Thing sort of fizzled (though I made it to Chapter 10 or so) and That Steampunk Thing came out stillborn. The characters for The Vampire Thing are interesting, and they still talk once in a while, but the characters from That Steampunk thing have never made much of a peep. It's sort of irritating.
Maybe I just don't have the attention span for a full novel yet, so I've retreated to some sizeable short stories. The Western is done, but needs polishing (and a title), and The Dutchman Thing is at the climax, but finding the desire to finish it is hard. Bleh.
Also, job hunting sucks. I send a follow-up to a company that's talked to me but it took them a month to write back saying "nothing's come out of this yet". Bullocks.
On the other hand, new Dresdens soon, yay!
