Waiting for the apocalypse...

Apr 07, 2006 22:15

in other words, this coming storm. At least that's what it seems to be like, the way the media and weather forecasts keep going on and on about it. The storm is supposed to cause big damage, in the form of hail, F3 tornadoes and such, just like the storms that passed through Tennessee and Kentucky today. It's annoying though. When I woke up this morning, the forecast said the storm would hit around noon or 1 pm. So I decided to skip my afternoon classes so I wouldn't be caught in both traffic and the rain. Not that I actually go to class... Anyway, I got home, ate lunch, watched some computer, and it was bright and sunny outside. So I checked the forecast...the storm should hit around 3. Okay, fine. Then comes 3 pm. Bright and sunny. The storm should hit around 6... It is not 10:30-ish, and not a drop of rain. We've been on tornado watch since this morning, and originally, the tornado watch was supposed to end around 8 pm.  So now, it's supposed to hit around midnight.  It's like Chicken Little...the sky is falling! All the schools apparently let out around noon because they were so worried about this storm. Ha! Stupid storm. Stupid forecasts.  Oh well.

Anyway, to pass the time, this birthday meme stolen from Auburn Lori...
