Today
Delicious cheese fondue dinner at Carolyn's place tonight. I love visiting her house; their food is always amazing and her family is so... perfect. After dinner, I headed back downtown to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey with Dan, Adam and Tom at the Bloor Cinema. It was the first time I'd seen it and I'm glad I did. Very weird. Now I'm back home and ready for bed. It's been an exhausting week.
Yesterday
The morning started out with my dashing for the SAC clubs fair, as I was going to be helping out with set-up at the Crumpled Paper table before class. Rest of the morning & afternoon consisted of me madly dashing about on different errands. Made it to the SAC concert on back campus a little late. I caught the final song of the opening band and then waited around for 2 hrs for Metric, the headlining band, to deign show up. It was worth it, though. They're great live. Afterwards, we all headed down to Baldwin for Chinese, followed by drinks over at Danielle's new place.
Thursday
Saw Clerks II Thursday afternoon before meeting up with Tanya -- who I hadn't seen in about a year! -- for dinner at my favourite Toronto restaurant, the Thai place called Salad King down by Sam the Record Man. After dinner, we walked back up to my place and sat around and chatted for a while. I've missed Tan a lot; it was great to meet up again.
Wednesday
Jess dropped by at around 7:30. Then we rendezvoused with Chris at St George and Bloor before heading down to the LCBO to acquire some pre-drinks. After that, it was over to Danielle's place for the f!rosh nite pre-drinking mini party there. We waited around until almost 11 for Jordan to show up and then we finally headed out for the Guvernment. We all stayed there 'til around 2:30. Then we went to Hong Shing for some food before bed.
Tuesday
F!rosh week opening ceremonies. I slept in a little and didn't make it to Con Hall until 9:30, but turns out that wasn't a disaster. Did all the typical stuff that goes on that day. I had to stay the whole time, as I was Skule Patrol. Gosh, were my feet sore afterwards.
September Long Weekend
Each day deserves a summary of its own, but my bed beckons. So the TBay trip recounting will need to wait until my next post...
