*By "Meek" I mean "Week," but had to turn the W upside down to maintain alliterative consistency. If you're Gelo and have already seen this line, my apologies. ;)
So this summer I've truly started to appreciate the wonderfulness that is
Bloor Cinema. Just a 10-minute walk from my apartment, this fine establishment plays a large assortment mainstream, rare, hippy and/or arty movies for the low, low price of $5 a hit. $4 if you've got a discount card. Their July playbill was absolutely fantastic and I regret not seeing more of this month's shows. Just this week I saw: Art School Confidential, The Da Vinci Code, The Notorious Bettie Page and Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. I can foresee this place being a beautiful trap during the school year.
In other news, the Crumpled Paper submission deadline is tomorrow and things aren't going too badly. Yesterday I started touching up a sketch I posted here in rough ages ago, during a night when I was ill and listening to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album. I'm thinking I'll submit it for this issue's music gallery:

Not a huge difference, I know, and it still needs a lot of work. I guess we'll see how far I get tonight. Any thoughts, particularly Sar?
Finally, today was Skule Patrol training day, where I theoretically got certified to administer emergency first aid. It was a lot more fun than I was expecting, probably because Tag was my instructor. Fun times. The people in my room rocked in general, actually; I'm glad I didn't get stuck in the other, lame room. I can apparently expect my certification documents in the mail sometime next January... Hehe
It's been a great week.
