You've over-fed him. Let him be. If he's not better in two or three days, then it's a lost cause. Usually they right themselves after a few shits.

Oh, I didn't see the part where you put ALL THE FOOD in the tank in response. Please try to take as much of it out as you can. Their stomachs are INCREDIBLY small, and most people make the mistake of over-feeding them, which is why the myth persists that they die so quickly.

I moved him from that tank to the small one this morning, where there was no food. If this fish makes a recovery I am going to die.

Really? I haven't fed him in three days! Though now I'm going to stop feeling guilty. He's a tough little bugger that's for sure. I think he's already lived way beyond a usual goldfish's life span, anyway.

How long has he lived? Goldfish tend to live about 7 years, if properly cared for.

Maybe I'm erring - *is* Seymour a goldfish?
