Costumes
Okies, so opening night for Charlie was last night.
"What's Charlie?" I hear you cry.
"Why, 'tis a musical based on the life of Charlie Chaplin."
"Oh, I thought it was, like, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
*whack*
Anyway, it went okay. I thought I'd use this post to describe my lovely costumes for you.
1) The Spanish Barbie. White top, black skirt, orange petticoat. Add to that my 'European' features (Thank you, Zane,. for telling em I look like 'that chick off the Godfather) and you have a brand new Barbie doll.
2) The One-sleeved Wonder. Okay, not really one-sleeved anymore, coz I ripped it off. It is a golden leotard that rides up liek WHOA, and this hideous old-fashioned blue-and-yellow bathing suit on it. I'm sorry, what? I'm meant to do the can-can in that? *faints*
3) The Orange Shirt. And Nothing Else. I think this one is pretty self-explanatory.
4) My New York City outfit. Actually, I kinda like this one. I'm stealing for my Drama production. It's purple and comes down to just under the knees. I have to wear it with a petticoat and it has a nice sparkly pattern on the front.
5) Keystone Cops. Policeman oufit. Oversize jacket, too-tight pants, the ever-present jazz shoes.
6) Liek OMG it's a JESTER!!! Pink and gold jester outfit. Yes, it does have the bells.
7) The Disco Ball. A shapeless gold dress that sparkles like anything and most probably blinds the audience. Oh, and I think I'm a lesbian in this scene.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... that's all folks! Ain't it gorgeous?
