I just woke up from what i'm hoping is just a non-meaningful nightmare...which I never have. -.-
The last part I remember was running on a somewhat lively walkway with other people when I get the urge to run to the horizon. No place particularly, just to run forwards. I do so, and I continue to pick up speed. As I get to a point where I'm effortlessly going *way* fast that I thought possible, everyone else starts to run forward as well. We were all running for an unknown reason.
Then the pink sky turned a shade of crimson. A terrible sight grew from the horizon -- a crimson horror that looked as though it devoured the sky and earth before us -- just mind-blowingly large, and we were all being pulled to it. I think that's why were running...we were being pulled to it. It looked to devour us all, and it was coming quickly. As soon as it was seen though, we all turned and ran, but I sense it was futile...it was already there. I ran directly way, and my mind pulled me forward, breaking me slightly from it's grip. I made a sharp right, and my mind again pulled me away from it's grip (an actual mental feeling, not a part of the dream... can't explain it). Right after that I woke up and as I opened my eyes I heard someone with a deep voice say "heh" right above my head, maybe 4-6 inches. I was awake enough to know that was actually heard and not part of the dream.
So I have this weird dream that can be totally taken as a metaphor for a very real and active problem that is coming... or it can be something different. The voice that scoffed after I woke up seems to point to a purpose for it...be it metaphorical, a test, or just maybe an attack since my mind had to work to pull me away from the dream.
Odd times, these.
