When we blew that spark into fire
We passed from one moment to the next.

And as the blossom ripened and withers
Fortifies the earth from whence it springs.

So the flame passes and no phoenix rises
But that which is ash is seed and soil.

Such as we have, passed.
It enriches that which we have, grows.
