rofl, that was great lyore!! Totally classic.
I had fun reading it, which is always the mark of a good fic with me. You write nice and smoothly as well, so that it flows instead of jumping or jarring in my head.
We know I'm not the biggest Stargate fan, but the characterisation seemed to fit to me - even Teal'c being a fan with your explanation.
Anyway, love for Daniel stumbling over his words to get Jack to stop pacing, love for Sam going into technobabble and being cut off, love for Jack having ducked out of the last movie, love for Sam being horrible to watch sci-fi with, and, of course, love for including the word "procured" :P

A story! This was a nice, fun story. I haven't seen Serenity or Firefly, so there may have been a few references that I didn't get, but I really liked Teal'c's attachment to the series and the fun twist at the end--and that it was Daniel who figured it out. :-) (I didn't until Daniel asked her. hehe I was just thinking, "Sam knows everything, doesn't she?" *g* LOL I also really liked Daniel's analysis of the movie at first, before Mean!Jack cut him off. hehe

There isn't much in there that you need to see the movie/series for that isn't pointed out in the fic - except that at one point in Firefly a character called Jayne (a guy) wears a hat suspiciously familiar to Teal'c's. You should watch them, they are very good (not that I'm a fan or anything... *g*)

And mean!Jack - how does anyone get a word in around him?

hehe Maybe I will someday. I saw a few minutes of Firefly here and there when SciFi was showing it just before SG-1 on Friday nights, but I never saw enough to draw me in or even know who the characters were.

You definitely need to watch them from the beginning, in order. I was dubious about the premise at first, but I heard so many good reviews that I eventually caved, bought the box set, sat down and watched them in a row and was hooked.

Very nice! I like the bits of detail you added at the beginning, and the scene at the end to close it out. Also that Sam carefully didn't include herself in the fan group! And Jayne's hat!

You might want to fix the point where Daniel says 'quiet' instead of 'quite' though. :)

Great fic :DDD

I love Teal'c - lovehimtobits!!!! The characterisations and banter are spot on, and I love all the little references to different events and peoples in the SG show.

Damn, but Teal'c should've tied Jack to an arm chair and made him watch the show. I think he might've liked Mal in the show; he's quite different from in the movie where he's so worn down.

Now! If you wrote something from the other point of view where the Firefly crew manage to get a hold of some old archival records or somesuch... :o Y'know, something along the Galaxy Quest vein ('cos that movie has some classic moments).
