As promised, a couple of days ago:

The ceiling of La Sagrada Familia (I love this picture, because it's really not apparent what I've taken a picture of and it's a beautiful ceiling, unlike the rest of the building. I'm glad the monster won't be ready in my lifetime...)

Me and my girls in front of Casa Mila, also by Gaudí (much less hideous, because the design is a lot more subtle. I like Gaudí, but only in reasonable quantities). In case you were wondering, I'm the one on the right.

The big market La Boqueria: you can get small plates of fruit to go and it's a lovely place to take pictures. I've got about twenty (from walking around for about twenty minutes), most of them dead animals and fruit. (I've got a great on filled with squid, which I'm entitling Davy Jones...)

The Salamander at Park Güell - a much more fitting place for a work of art like this. I loved the Park almost as much as I hated the cathedral, even though the weather was horrible when we were there and we had to go back to the hotel after a few hours to pick up a sweater.

An entirely different kind of reptile (or amphibia, or fish, or something similar): a detail of a chair at the City Hall. Isn't it adorable?

To stay in the reptile business: some Barcelonian wildlife, or, as I like to call him, Trevor junior (he was about as big as the nail on my thumb - again: isn't he adorable?)

Now we're on the topic of Harry Potter (doesn't take much, these days, even IRL): I've just realized I'm on a weekend trip the 21st, so I won't be able to get my hands on a copy of DH until at least Monday :-( Since the 21st of July is our national holiday, there won't even be any bookshops open where I'm going. On the bright side: going away for the weekend means I won't have to be dodging spoilers left, right and center until I can finally start reading - we'll be completely cut off from the outside world.

Boyfriend and I ordered our tickets for OotP yesterday - we'll be going on Friday night. I saw GoF on opening night, but this time it wasn't really feasible, what with me being at home (and I refuse to watch Harry Potter in the teeny tiny cinema in my home town, where the kids will be showering me with popcorn). So Friday it is - until then: bring on the spoilers! (I don't mind being spoiled for the movies, as I already know how they will end, but I'd like to approach the End of an Era (aka DH) innocently.)

Have fun at the movies, everybody! (And or those of you going to Sectus - you lucky lasses- have fun there too!)

dh, ootp the movie, barcelona
