Holiday Wish List
Step One:
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two:
Surf around your friends-list (or wish_list) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes your “trash” is another's treasure.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
MY WISH LIST:
1. If someone out there is feeling extremely generous, my paid user account is up the day after Christmas and we’re pretty low on money at the moment, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to renew it. I don’t really expect this one, but it is called a wish list for a reason, so I thought I’d throw it out there. XD
2. I love love love crossovers. It’s a bit of a obsession really, and would love anything to do with those, fic, graphics, vids, recs, whatever. Here’s a link to a list of some of the ships and crossovers I would love to see. It’s a pretty long list, so lots of options.
3. Caroline (TVD) fics, written for me if you’re feeling really generous or just recs to stories you’ve read and loved. I love Caroline, she’s my favorite character on the show, and I’d love to read more fic for her. My favorite ships for her are Caroline/Stefan, Caroline/Elijah, Caroline/Klaus, but I’ll happily take whatever you can give me.
4. I’d love a new wallpaper for my computer, 1280x800. Anything Smallville, Supernatural, Nikita, or Vampire Diaries related would be awesome.
5. Fanmixes and ficmixes. I love them and would love anything that you could come up with.
6. I’d love to see a Chloe/Dean video to the Snow Patrol Song “Make This Go On Forever”.
7. Spread the fandom love. Recently I’ve seen lots of comments about how fandoms are being negative and becoming less fun for people, so spread the love. Talk about what you love about your favorite shows or movies, don’t talk about the things you don’t like. Spread the love, give people hugs, and just be happy!
8. Anything Chloe Sullivan/Allison Mack or Tess Mercer/Cassidy Freeman (Or a combination of them both, I totally ship Chloe/Tess), will make me love you forever. Icons, gifs, fic, headers, wallpapers, whatever, I will love it.
9. PROMPT ME! I’m looking for writing prompts, so if we share any fandoms (you can see most of mine on my profile) feel free to stop over and leave me some. XD
