You know I'm a very biased Cordy fan, so I'm a bit on the fence about anybody else getting the seer role after her. But this was a nice read, since you made up for it by working in the aftermath of Cordy leaving, I'll forever be peeved about the show sweeping her finale departure under the rug. My baby deserved better. :/ And of course it always helps when it's explicitly pointed out that she's NOT Cordy and that while she inherited one of her 'jobs' she's not usurping Cordy's role in the team. Though of course I'll forever be in denial over Cordy being gone at all and as far as I am concerned season 4 and 5 never happened the way they did.

Also, does this mean no Illyria? with Fred already being the seer? Or is somebody else going to be her meatsuit? And about one of Fred's last thoughts concerning her limited lifespan, - at least it will be longer than the one she got on the show.

And finally, as far as your concern about writing Fred, I think you got her down good. :) The right kind of slightly crazy genius survivor, with her ( ... )

You're so sweet to read a Fred fic and especially one that dealt with this because of your Cordelia love.

But I share your Cordelia love, so I promise, things like this were done specifically to continue with what the show dropped, to show that tptb wouldn't just leave Angel with no guide, that we got to see more of a reaction from the gang about her death (ANY SORT OF REACTION SHOW), and how that even if the powers really did get transfered to someone else, it wouldn't make them into Cordelia or her role in the group ("the heart" or anything else) it just meant they got her visions, that Cordelia made a choice of who to give them to. I also tried to show a little bit more of the friendship that we didn't get to see between Cordie and Fred, if that makes sense, because the show was always more about telling than showing when it came to these two. So I wanted to show lots of stuff in all that. And this is obviously me rambling about it. XD (And most defenitely Cordie did deserve better. I never understood why they didn't bring her ( ... )

<3 I do like Fred, I never had a problem with her just the effect her arrival had on the dynamics of the already existing relationships on the show. Especially, Gunn and Wesley of course. Did I mention that I HATE FUCKING LOVE TRIANGLES?!!! Because I really really really do!
