Shoulda gone before the heist
I very nearly forgot to update, but I still got it in today! There's a new Lunargyros page...actually two of them. DUN DUUUN TURNING POINT.
Here's some more blabbery on my Epic Mickey playthrough...
- So I got all the way through Tomorrow City. At this point, I'm kind of following a video walkthrough step-by-step, since it seems that just wandering around or trying to figure it all out myself will either get me killed or make me miss important things. I suppose I use regular books for most games too, so a video walkthrough won't be that much different.
- Oswald: No one in Wasteland has a heart = LOOOOOOOOL HEARTLESS XDDD
- In all seriousness, however, just from what I've played so far, KH and Epic Mickey really are different enough games that there's really no reason for anyone to complain that one is "better" than the other. Yeah, they both feature Disney nostalgia mixed with a different major element and have Mickey being badass, but they tackle it in different ways. For one, KH focuses more on feature film references, whereas Epic Mickey deals more with the parks, shorts and merchandise. And their storytelling devices and gameplay are totally different. SO yeah, arguments over BAWWW IT'S BETTER/WORSE/THE SAME are pointless; it's apples and oranges.
- AWWW poor Oswald! He's so bitter and resentful of his half-brother! (It's hardly Mickey's fault that he got sold to Universal, though...Mickey just stepped in to take his place when Disney lost Oswald! Oh, and I guess there's that whole I ACCIDENTALLY BLEW UP WASTELAND deal, too.) I hope we can make friends with Oswald so he won't be so bitter in the future.
- I totally remember the tracks of Tomorrowland looking like how they did in Tomorrow City. XD
- Ahaha, there's something awful ironic in the Peoplemover being so deadly.
- Okay, is there any good way to handle the Beetleworx? I kept trying to take them all out when I first entered the Skyway/Rocket Ride area, but was constantly getting killed by them. ESPECIALLY THOSE STUPID SPINNERS NNNNGH. It seemed they were just getting replaced every time I killed them off. Eventually I just went "screw it" and started running away from them to get to where I had to go.
- I was really amused to see "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow," and I kinda wish they'd included the song. Speaking of, I could NOT for the life of me beat the huge splatter guarding Great Big Tomorrow just by hitting it with paint...I ended up just throwing my guardians at it. Is there any way to beat those huge things without sacrificing guardians? I was seriously dumping all my paint on it and it was still attacking me. 8(

- AHAHAHA TRON!PETE YESSSSSSSS. It's true, everything is better when it's Tronized. I ended up beating him with paint, too. (Man, when do my health pips start going up?...)
- Ventureland is next! Will do that when I get home today...
