I HAVE VOTEEEEED. It was actually...really...uneventful. There was no line and I got everything done in five minutes. Come on, polling place! I was expecting a long line! That better be because everyone voted early.
This'll probably be hella boring to anyone not living in California, but I'm writin' it anyways!
General election - I voted for Obama. No, I'm not expecting him to ride in on a magical pink unicorn and turn America into The United Happy Fairylands of Candyworld. I did so for his tax plan and for foreign relations reasons. No matter what candidate wins, we're gonna get our taxes raised, and anyone who thinks otherwise is already living in the United Happy Fairylands of Candyworld. If we're gonna get our taxes raised anyway, I'm all for putting more pressure on the rich and megarich. That, and I trust Obama more on foreign policy and relations, which I think is super important to both the economy and national security. We're not gonna get far on either if we can't even get along with our allies, and I think Obama has a better understanding of that.
Prop 1A - I voted no. It's a good idea and I think California could really use a high-speed train system, but it's too expensive. Maybe when the state's not wallowing in debt.
Prop 2 - I voted yes. This sort of thing about factory farms has always really bothered me. The cost seems small in comparison, and I'm willing to pay more for my eggs if it means the chickens making them won't be reenacting Uzumaki.
Prop 3 - Voted no. Too expensive with not enough guarantee it'll go to the right places.
Prop 4 - Ooooof, this was a really tough one, but I voted yes. I think, when you're dealing with minors in those situations, parents should know what's going on.
Prop 5 - Voted no. Too expensive; programs already exist, etc.
Prop 6 - Voted no, pretty much for the same reasons as 5.
Prop 7 - Harsh one, but I voted no. Man, most of these are for the "it's too expensive" reasons.
Prop 8 - Pretty sure I already fully explained why I voted no here. XD
Prop 9 - Voted no. There's already laws we got a few decades ago for victim's rights, didn't reeeeally see the point of making repeat laws.
Prop 10 - OUCH, another reeeally tough one because this one was also expensive, but I voted yes.
Prop 11 - Voted no. Not one for extra unnecessary bureaucracies, thanks.
Prop 12 - Voted no. Expensive, and don't have much of a personal investment in it, sorry. :/
Measure R - Since I drive on most of the freeways for this one, I would like them to stay in repair, yes.
Measure AA - Considering the fact that most of my family and friends work in education, I'm gonna vote yes on anything putting money into education. XD/
SO YEAH. I got class tonight, so I guess I won't be able to see results until tomorrow. D'oh! We'll see how this eventually ends up!
