I decided to go to the fair this year mostly for something to do. Admission was free so there was that but I also got to thinking that someone would be selling the bracelets I like.
I waited until Bo got up and asked if he wanted to go with me. He said yes so about 2pm we headed out. I picked up some extra money for parking and just in case stuff. We ended up getting a spot really close to the front too.
I was surprised and disappointed at how quickly we were able to get through all the booths. I know that this fair and fair grounds is nothing like the one in Grant County but still…half an hour!! To see everything?!
I found the vendor I was looking for in the Expo center and was more than happy to be inside. It wasn't hot but the brightness of the sun was seriously starting to strain my right eye. Today would have been a good day to use my eye drops.
I looked through the bracelets and found a couple colors I liked. I can tell they are cheap though because some of them were supposed to be silver but were tarnished. -_- I picked out a red one and a green one and asked how much. The lady said $25. I know I can get these at Fred Meyers for $10 (or at least I have in the past) so I had her put one back. She asked why and I told her I only wanted to spend $20. She said she would give them to me for $22. I told her I only had $21. She took the deal and I got my bracelets. :D That's also the official end of my birthday gifts since it was my birthday money from mom that I used. ^_^
We walked around a bit more and really didn't find anything else. I asked Bo if he wanted something to eat while we were there. He said he was hungry but not for fair food. -_- I tried to convince him to get something but he didn't want to. I asked where he wanted to go then and he said Burger King. _~_ So we left the fair not more than an hour after we got there and headed to BK for dinner.
We could have gone through some of the buildings with the animals in them and stuff but I was already getting tired of Bo's company so we headed out.
The other thing I was doing there was seeing how things run. Ray is on the Fair Board and said they were short handed this year. I had hoped to volunteer to help out but was way too busy with work. He said that I could always offer for next year and I think I might just do that. ^_^
