My Dad's Birthday

Jul 16, 2009 22:43

Since my parent's weren't down for my birthday they decided to combined mine with my dad's and celebrate tonight. The venue of choice was Fultano's in Clatskanie.

My day was going ok and I wasn't too down but I started to get somewhat depressed by the end of the day and I didn't really feel like hanging around my family who has irritated me a lot of late. I went anyway but insisted on driving myself.

On a side note I have been over the Lewis and Clark bridge so much lately that it doesn't phase me much any more to drive it. I still get anxious but I am getting better. :D

At dinner I got a salad along with the pizza. We opened gifts at one point and since it was my dad's birthday I let him go first. He got some sandals, other things I don't remember. I almost didn't open mine because I didn't feel very festive (even after an asprin to help with my budding headache). Mom prodded me though and I opened them with no fanfare. I got a phone card for my cell (that ended up being a grand total of 260 minutes because of some special offers I tacked on. :D ). I also got a new swimsuit and pretty top. I loved the colors of the wrapping paper too (pink and purple).

After dinner I got impatient to head back and just left with my son tagging along. We got back a lot earlier than the others and so I spent the time trying to reach Dustin to thank him for the birthday message. I also got a nice pic of my son sleeping in the back seat. Hehe.

Once my sisters left for home my parents invited us out to ice cream at Baskin Robins. I was tired but all for ice cream. ^_^ So we headed out again. I got a banana royal with Rainbow Sherbet and Daiquiri Ice. It was GOOD! :D

After the ice cream we headed back home. It was late and I already knew I would be paying for staying up. It was a good day though and I am glad I went to dinner despite my disposition and intolerance. :D
