The Title I Don't Remember
I had a really cool title all prepared for this entry and now I don't remember it. The back up title I just came up with is just as amusing though. ^_^
Valentines day started out like any other day and it was actually rather boring at work. As could be predicted people got flowers. I wasn't disappointed this year though. ^_^
After work the plan was to meet up with my siblings at Applebee's for lunch. My brothers were in town for my younger brother's birthday (2/14). I wanted to do a sibling dinner the day before but Erik and Darren had already made plans. After suggesting that they invite grandma to Karen's for dinner with them I took PJ and my family out to Subway.
Anyway, Ingrid called to tell me the plan. I told her that having us meet at 1:10 was going to be hard for me. I was technically off at 1:00 but I rarely get off work before 10 minutes after. She said that would be fine.
So as predicted I was off work at 1:12. -_- Thankfully I don't have to change clothes anymore after work. I got home, picked up PJ and we headed over to the restaurant. I'm not really a fan of Applebee's because I don't ever find much on the menu. I wasn't complaining though because I enjoy visiting with my siblings.
Everyone was there when we showed up except Karen. She was busying buying the last pieces to Erik's birthday gift. We had one waiter who took our drink orders and then left shortly before Karen arrived. I joked that it was because she was coming that he left. ^_^
Around 3:10 it was time for Ingrid to head home and pick up her son from school. The waiter had given us two boxes and since I was the only one with anything to take home I put spare napkins in the second box. When I got up to go to the bathroom before leaving my siblings messed with the box by adding things like Sweet and Low packets, a small plastic drink sword and a straw. -_-
The rest of the plans for the evening were that we would head to the Paragon for dinner. I joked that we should stay at Applebee's until it was time for dinner. ^_^ Erik wasn't complaining.
After lunch I headed back to my house and PJ got a ride with Erik. Erik and PJ showed up at my house and spent time making up new weird Mii's. I on the other hand watched the last two episodes of Host Club.
Around 6:15 I gathered up everyone and we got ready to leave for dinner. Erik choose the paragon because no one was there last year and the food is good. Well this year it was a bit different. The place was packed! I guess word got out. ^_^
The waitress had accidentally started off on the wrong foot by being exasperated with a large group showing up unexpectedly. That would be all well and good if we hadn't tried to make a reservation only to be told they didn't take them. _~_ The waitress more than made up for it by the end of the night by not charging me for approximately $10 worth of food. It was a good dinner. ^_^
After dinner we headed over to grandma's so Erik could open presents and we could eat pie. We had fun talking and looking through the presents while Erik opened them. Around 9pm it was getting late and we needed to head home. I was so tired by then that I didn't remember much. I promptly got ready for bed and headed to bed….which I am going to do again right now. *yawn!*
