Woah. Haven't written in a while. Anyway, went to the Red Sox-Devil Rays game last night. Man, what a game. If you're interested in what happened, stay tuned. If not, leave. Now. Okay, in the first inning, Manny Ramirez hit a home run, putting the sox up 2-0.(I think Mirabelli was on base). Anyway, in the third inning, Matt Clement (the Red Sox pitcher) threw a 90 MPH fastball to the Rays batter. The ball connected and headed straight back at Clement at over 100 MPH. The ball struck Clement in the head at full force and he fell like a sack of potatoes. He lay there, motionless, until a paramedic and a stretcher could come and remove him. My uncle thought the ball had hit him in the temple, and he was dead. I thought he was unconcious. Turns out he never lost conciousness, the ball hit him behind his right ear. He was taken to a nearby hospital where all the CT scans came up negative. That'll be one hell of a headache today. So then, Boston is up 5-1 after a few hits. The Rays had also managed to score. Apparently, they figured that they shouldn't lose so bad at their own field. The next hitter managed to hit a grand slam, tying the game at 5-5 in the fifth inning. Well, I'm getting tired of typing. The game went into extra innings, and the Sox won 10-9. Johnny Damon hit a home run right near where I was sitting. That was pretty cool. I took pictures, I'll put some on here when I can get them loaded onto the computer.
