Gets right on my Wick
Went out with Healthcall, a company that do domiciliary sight testing yesterday; first to a sheltered housing complex in Carntyne then a nursing home in East Kilbride.
The sheltered housing went quite well - the patients are all compus mentus although we did get the one old dear trying to tell us her life story when trying to get away as we were running late. Felt a bit crap cos I couldnt see heehaw when the optom let me do ophthalmoscopy, need to get better at that.
Had a pre-registration placement offer from Duncan and Todd...they're offering me a pre-reg in Elgin which is fine...but they want me to stay on once I'm qualified for a year in Wick of all places! Would give me £3000 incentive this January and I would get paid more than the average newly qualified in Wick. She also mentioned the possibility of every 3rd wknd off and flights to Edinburgh paid for or something...so undecided. Elgin would be great and I'd be happy in a small place but not a small place as far up as Wick lol..so we shall see. Quite fancy a change mind u.
Still havn't heard back from work, and I've got an interview for Gartnaval hospital on the 30th.
