Savannah
Didn't get to go to the beach because my husband's brother and his wife decided to go with us..even though nobody but Jessica and me wanted to go to the beach. Andy had to go out of default.
The first place we stopped for the beach after driving 45mins was too far to walk according to my sister-in-law. We then drove around for 2 more hours before she told her husband on the phone that she was ready to go, she'd never wanted to come in the first place.
WTF?! Jessica and I didn't even get to SEE the ocean! I do NOT like telling my daughter we're going to do something and it not happen because of other assholes.
I tried to get Andy to go Saturday. He said no...fine I wanted to go early Sunday so the place wouldn't be packed. As you can see...that didn't happen.
It wasn't a total waste going that way. We did stop at Fort Pulaski on the way back. I love touring such things :D
But THEN when we got back to their house..more drama insued. Jason didnt' get in the pool because Andy didn't. He wanted to stay inside and hang out with his brother that he rarely sees. Understandable..Jessica and I were having fun in the pool w/out them anyway :D Jason came outside with his daughter and Melissa asked why he wasn't in the pool. "Andy's not in, I'm not getting in" Apparently, that intervered with her control over him so she got pissed and left the pool when minutes later Andy and Jason got in.
I said last time I was in Savannah, I wasn't going back until their daughter was older or Melissa wasn't there. Against my own feelings, I went back...on promises that everything would be better and we'd DEFINETELY go to the beach.
Melissa was better until the last day. Andy was a jerk until the last day.
I don't know why he wants me there. He ditches me with Melissa and heads off with Jason. I could have been in TN all weekend and happy instead of pissed off in Savannah. I asked for TWO things and got neither. 1. A pedicure..which I finally got one today and the damn paint is already smudged because the place didn't have dryers and it's the first time I've been to that one so I didn't know..so I'm pissed. 2. Taking Jessica to the beach for the very first time. THAT'S the big one. That's the only reason I gave in and of course it turned out to be a lie. He's saying it's not his fault that the island was full. No it's not. BUT it is his fault for not going the times I asked before and it is his fault for not stopping the damn cars and letting me and jessica go see the ocean while the 3 that didn't even want to go could look for parking spots.
