We took Jessica to her first ever carnivale yesterday :D
She had a blast...didn't want to come home. She rode a train twice. There were airplanes that the kids could control if they went up and down by the handle...lol thank God she was in the driver's seat alone. She kept it up in the air the whole time...yes it was attached to a machine going in circles. I just don't think she would have liked going up and down jerking. She also rode in a boat by herself. She's so big. Unfortunately, there weren't many rides for just her and she had no friends with her or siblings.
I was about to go buy myself a bracelet to ride with her, but my friend Jennifer from myspace, gave me hers. We actually went to the carnivale on mine and Jennifer's plans. We wanted to meet and we wanted our families to meet too, so 2 birds one stone. :D Her little boys were just a bit too hyper for Jessica :) If Julian, the youngest..had been a bit younger, Jess would have been fine.
Jennifer and I didn't get to have too much time getting to know each other because her kids were pulling her in one direction and Jessica was pulling me in another. lol our hubbies said a few words to us in the passing...poor guys.
Jessica and I rode a glider..also attached to machine..it was purple..her favorite color. The ferris wheel was fun. lol and Jessica ADORED the bumper cars. She wanted to ride it again. The line was too freaking long for that! We rode a tilting, twirling ride..she insisted she wanted to ride it. Yeah she didn't want to once it started. There was a little boy on it, about 8, with his mom. All of us were talking on the car, he looked at me and said "You're holding her tight aren't you" lol that was so sweet! Then he told me how 2 girls had already thrown up on that ride. Dang, hadn't thought of that. Too late now. Jessica wasn't liking it. I held her and told her not to worry, mommy was there. She still wasn't liking it. I told her to just watch her hands. That wasnt' working. I told her to watch mommy. I put my hands over her eyes and just kept talking to her. She didn't get sick :D And when it ended she smiled and said she had fun. lol thank God she's got my tolerance!
Now, the funniest and most shocking to me thing at that carnivale...I had teenaged boys giving me the bedroom eyes! WTF?!!! I do NOT remember being 16 and seeing guys my age looking at grown women like that! I asked Andy if he did that as a teen. He said he did! I asked his reasoning...because it has to be similar to theirs. He said they're full of testosterone, they see me with my child and KNOW I'm having sex...I pointed out yeah, I'm having sex with my husband, not them...again, testosterone he said made them think I'd want a young stud like them and not my old man. lol I guess he was right. One "boy" in particular kept eyeballing me. He walked past me and was a head taller than me..thus the " ". Really odd experience.
OH, I'm in love with a new radio station online. countrylegends 97.1 in Houston. Just in the last few minutes, I've been writing what's been on.....Big Bad John, by Jimmy Dean is on right now...lol I haven't heard it in years! Oh Highway Man...love this song. And now You've Never Been This Far Before by Conway Twitty...hmmm I'll leave on this song..another old fave of mine.
I do have another station to tell you about...lol it's rock, don't worry for those that hate country...a guy I use to work with at applebee's in Athens is now a dj there in North Carolina.
