Happy first day of July!! Everything is still going. My family is still here, until Tuesday. It's been a nice visit, but 2+ weeks is too long to be crammed into one little house. There are too many mother hens to be going on. It's all good though. My mom bought me some groceries from the commissary and then some other misc. things, that's always nice. Emilie got some good stuff for her birthday. I opted to forego any type of party for her this year. It'll just be our little secret. Unless we have something for her on Sunday or Monday. I figured, what is a birthday party for a 1 yr. old? A big mess that's what it is. I mean, I know I was completely all for having a party for her..but now, not so much.
I worked a half day today, I definitely don't miss CDC. I have to work again on the 5th. Bleck. Tomorrow we're all going to Martha's Vineyard for the day. That'll be some kinda fun!
Two weeks and Jason and I will be married for two years! Holy shamoly! It seems as if we've been married for a long time. But that's a good thing. I love my husband! Jason is working hard on getting his qualifications and starting to fly full time. He's gone on several falcon flights but he wants to start going on more SAR (search and rescue) flights. He definitely loves what he's doing - which is great. We're hoping to move in a couple years - possibly back to SC. We have the option for Jason to finish school. The CG will pay for him to go to college full time (not having to wear uniform or anything- same pay - same benefits - everything the same but going to work on planes) and then be guaranteed a spot in OCS (officer candidate school)..then we'll be restationed. SC is the place we want to be right now. It's the happy medium with the families. Close to his parents, close to my parents and close to my sister. It all works out. Keep your fingers crossed.
As far as the baby fever is going...well, it's still there but subsiding a little bit. I want another one, but I know that Emilie is wayy too spoiled to have another one around. We'll see how this fall goes.
