A part of me finds it exciting that a group of fans are doing their part to stand up for VDO and KE by voicing their displeasure about the cast shake-ups because I agree with many of them in that CI is not CI if there is no Goren and Eames. I don't like that their leaving seems to be instigated solely for the purpse of sponsers and USA to make more money and I wish we could get more sound bites from VDO and KE themselves to know how they truly feel about leaving (though I understand they are probably obligated not to, so as not to make NBCU look bad...plus they did give them a steady job for nine years...it's not something you snub your nose at completely...even when they screw you over).
But another part kind of feels that after last season the show is no longer worthy of them and I'd really rather see them leave than stick around doing mediocore work that makes the characters and the stories flat and lifeless. I will concede that the Robert Nathan Nichols/Wheeler episodes were over all better written than the G/E ones, but they still were not as solid as the Balcer episodes and even some of the Leight episodes (personally I wish Leight and Balcher could have run the show together so both could have played to their strengths).
So I don't know why I felt the need to post this...I guess to explain my inaction...
