ARMY BASIC TRAINING
So I have arrived back to the place that I call home. But, everyone knows how my life went while I was here--here's how it went when I was out on my own doing something that not many people do--go to basic training.
I arrived at reception--basically the place where they did all of our processing and stuff. It was all right--pretty boring. They had a writing contest on what it means to be a soldier--and wouldn't you know it that out of about 250 people, I won. There was this big ceremony for Veteran's Day and I got to sit up on the stage. I was in the newspaper and i got a certificate, a letter from the lieutenant colonel, 2 crests (like unit coins) of excellence, and a $50 savings bond. It was cool.
I'm tired though, i'm going to go lay down. I'll write more later.
