TVD 8.12 - What Are You?
I wasn't that crazy about this episode. The most interesting parts were Bonnie trying to cope with her grief, hearing Enzo's voice, and Stefan dealing with his newly-human status. But I felt like all of the juicy character stuff got sidelined by the plot around Damon trying to steal Matt's family journal and Matt's pointless flashback to a hundred years ago. It all felt like so much filler, when they could have spent a lot more time on the epic consequences of last week's shock ending.
I was pretty happy with this week's ending, though, because YAY, KAI IS BACK. No doubt he escaped hell around the same time Cade did. And if Kai escaped hell, can Katherine be far behind? I'm betting she was the one who kidnapped Stefan at the end... Why else would the kidnapper's face have been hidden?
Katherine and Kai would make an excellent team. He could be the wise-cracking sidekick she has always wanted.
