Reporters Without Borders urges Donald Trump to respect press freedom in the presidency
As a former journalist, I can attest to the advocacy work of Reporters Sans Frontieres. A free and independent press is essential to a functioning democracy and is guaranteed in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Trump promised during the campaign to change U.S. libel laws so that he could sue any media outlet that covers him negatively. Media suppression is one of the first acts of a despot. Please support RSF's work.
