Upon reading other friend's journals and people's that are not my friend's journals, I have found that I am jealous. It really sets you back when you begin reading someone's entry, and then start skimming it because it is not the simple narrative you are used to, and then reading the comments and everyone else seemed to understand it and appreciate it. So, I am attempting to make a meaningful entry this round. Feedback would be lovely-- telling me whether you hate it or love it.
Let me begin with a quote; "twinkle, twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are." Who is asking this question, you may ponder. Is the narrator filled in on the information of what the star 'is'? Would we have ever related a twinkling star to a diamond in the sky up above the world so high without this poem? Probably not. I find it interesting that we have looked past the deeper meaning of this poem for all the years we have known it. College is a time of experimenting and discovery. I have had two hours of class time today, 1 hour of eating time, 2 more hours for napping, and the rest to think about the subtleties in children's poetry. I have used my time efficiently.
Also, I arranged my room setup slightly and bought toilet paper.
Well, that was probably a failed attempt. So, in other news, plan for Puerto Rico is official and officially fucking fantastic. I need to get a job, mom says. She's tripping and put down my participation in Rugby, saying that I need to join something more productive and with more merit if I am going 'waste' time. Know what I say? fuck that shit (in a Mandy Frederick-type accent...you know the kind, Wickham Park Christmas light-show).
An odd thing happened today, DJ was especially nice to me. I was making some pasta and she was leaving and was just extra friendly and then said "ok bye! be safe!" safe? I don't know what she meant and whether that was a good thing or bad, but things are looking up for me and her. It would still be cool if she moved out so then I could have the bathroom to myself and keep my bathmat clean.
Note to self: Hang up sign that says "clean up the bathroom you dirty girl" in Haitian. Thankyou again Jamie.
There really isn't anything going on in my life right now. Gainesville this weekend to see Tina, Sarah and a few privileged others and to play my Rugby game. Considering downloading bearshare or limewire again and then transferring my files to window's. Damn infringement policy...
love!
but nobody knows what's going on,
everybody knows there's something wrong
