Glee 2.01 Audition
7 things that were awesome about this Tuesday:
1. SANTANA WON. WHAT DID I TELL YOU? Actually that whole sequence was amazing because Quinn walking down the hall back in uniform was pretty much what I need in my life all the time. Then Santana laying the ultimate smackdown on her was pretty much every fantasy I have ever had ever. I shouted so loudly when she just straight up legit BITCH SMACKED HER. "SHE HAS A FAMILY SHE'S A MOTHER!" So, I'm pretty much ECSTATIC right now. "Stop the violence." I need to go watch that FOREVER.
2. TELEPHONE. COULD RACHEL HAVE BEEN ANY CLOSER TO SUNSHINE'S FACE? I DON'T THINK SO. It was probably one of the most amusing moments of my life. I don't even know, but I couldn't stop laughing at every movement Lea made during that whole thing. Her hair flipping was EPIC. Oh, and I liked the song too, so that was good. I was actually pissed that Sue walked in a stopped it as hilarious as it was.
3. Rachel Berry's idea of alone time. Seriously. Whenever Lea Michele opens her mouth to do just about anything...I am a happy person. She needs to do that forever.
4. ASIAN CAMP. WHAT. EVEN. I approve of anytime Mike Chang has his abs exposed and dances so basically everything about that was good in my book. Honestly, I just love Mike Chang. Period.
5. QUINN FABRAY. This is just an obligatory I love Quinn a lot statement because she is just so great. And as stated above, her whole rise back to the top made me pretty happy. And can Dianna just yell at people forever? That was...that was nice.
6. I actually like Chord's voice and I am kinda liking Sam in general despite only having him in a few scenes. I KNOW IT'S PREMATURE, SHUT IT. I mean the entire time they were singing Billionaire I was kind of distracted thinking about all the Puck/Sam fic that I'm sure that scene inspired, but in general I really liked it. And no, not just because Mike Chang was awesome dancing on the side.
7. EMPIRE STATE OF MIND. I just really enjoyed this entire part even if I was super distracted because I didn't know where to look or who to focus on and holy crap. I liked it. Even if Mark can't rap. Actually, he sounded better when I could look at him. True story. Just everything about it was awesome. Q, S and B doing their thing, Rachel flipping her hair, Finn staring at Sam with interest, Mike Chang being Mike Chang. Everything.
BONUS: As insignificant as it was...the last few seconds where you can just make out Santana with her legs propped up on Brittany's lap. It's like being in the front 13 again and noticing every stupid thing they do in the background. I LIKE IT WHEN THEY TOUCH EACH OTHER OKAY? I just notice these things a lot. It's a problem. My OTP vision takes over my brain sometimes.
BONUS #2: HOLY FUCKING SHIT THE PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK. LET'S BE HONEST HERE. THE PROMO WAS THE BEST PART OF THIS EPISODE. I CAN'T EVEN TEXTUALLY RENDER MY FEELINGS ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY ARE MOSTLY INARTICULATE JIBBERISH. FREAKING A. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. IT NEEDS TO BE NEXT WEEK. I NEED. I CAN'T. WHAT. AHHHHHHH.
