I finally found a great shawl pattern and started crocheting again. I started this current craze by crocheting (single crochet, very easy) over all of our wire coat hangers. We have some of the plastic hangers, too, but those remain yarnless. So far. At any rate, I've been thinking of making another shawl for myself, ever since my old one got

Hmmmm, the Karp Styles are pretty expensive for single hooks, even with the price differential. I already have a pretty complete set of hooks. The Crafts Etc. hook covers might be a great help, though. Thanks!

Sure thing! Thing about those Karp ones, though, is that if you have a hook you use a lot, it may be worth the extra $$. Also, Michaels and AC Moore regularly have 40% off coupons in the paper. If you're ever interested in trying one out, let me know. I'd be happy to pick one up with a coupon.
