A Change is as Good as A Rest

That's something my mother always used to say: a change is as good as a rest. Was never quite sure what she meant and was afraid to ask. She often muttered it under her breath when my father was stepping out of line, which he did frequently. Today though, I GOT IT. The brown we see everywhere changed to sparking white. It's just wild, isn't it? We had a golf tournament going on here too. Don't think the out-of-state players were too thrilled.

When I came home and downloaded my pics, I was so bummed that I hadn't taken more. When surrounded by the snowy vistas, I was so busy soaking it all up I didn't realize how many pictures I would need to really capture it all. Seeing snow on the prickley pear cactus is... yes...incongrous for sure.

(meant to catch up on emails yesterday but instead I was playing in the snow :) )

I let the dog out at 6:00 and ran to get my camera when I realized the soaked patio was melted snow. Got a great shot of snow on the patio table's umbrella. Got up again at 7:00 and headed out before it all melted. Such a treat! Pleased to know you were thinking of me.
