Where Did The Week Go ?

Another week in retrospect. I last posted on Feb. 06; it’s now the evening of the 15th.

Activities:  Been dancing. D & I have attended two group classes (ballroom dancing) as well as another more private lesson. We’ve added patterns to our basic rumba, and we are beginning to develop the muscle memory necessary to move easily from one set of steps

Well, I think it's really cool that your fair entries won ! And, you are right, the younger kids now expect kudos and ribbons and awards for doing what is expected rather than for excelling. They are somewhat jaded about it.

The books: They sound very interesting, but I think I will pass. I am embarrassed about the number of books I have sitting here that I need to read, and I indulged myself with a wonderful, very large, book from the gemshow about minerals and and mining, etc. Even though I have a lot of amythest around the house, I'm not sure I'm on board with the metaphysical qualities of minerals... who knows, these buried treasures could turn out to the the energy source that is powering the planet and our digging them out is disturbing the balance.... who knows.....
