Baby Surprise Jacket I

Okay. Finished today, my first Baby Surprise Jacket. I say first, because it was a delight to knit, a brilliant stash-buster project for using up odd balls, and a beautiful example of Elizabeth Zimmerman's pure, unadultered knitting genious. Lord, but the woman is brilliant! I giggled and chuckled with delight all through the knitting of this project. If ever there's a pattern that every knitter must try at least once in their career, this is it.
