Summer's half over already! How did that happen? *feels lost* Anyway...
That Arrowhead Shawl I started at the end of June, hoping it would be done by the end of September? Voila! ...and in just under a month of knitting, too!
So, what's on the docket for this month?
Well, Danger Boy's Dragon Hoodie sits at roughly 45% done, with the back and both sleeves completed. I really need to buckle down this month and get enough of that done by the end of the month that he can wear it to school come September. So I'm going to make a point of casting on the front of the sweater this evening.
Havn't touched my sock(s) since I got promoted at work, as it had been an at-work project and I just don't have the time to work on it there any more. Any "breaks" I take these days are spent catching up on work-related emails. So there's that. I'm trying to convince myself that Sundays are Sock Days, but it hasn't happened yet. So. Going to keep on with that idea.
Mondays are Prayer Shawl days, and that project is about 50% done. I may even get to one of the Prayer Shawl meetings at the church soon. Not next week, but the week after looks possible. No real deadline for this project, so long as I keep working on it week by week, I'm sure an appropriate recipient will appear as soon as it is finished.
Mouse's blanket has run into a very unexpected snag - I'm running out of yarn faster than I'm making progress. So I need to take a run by Len's to pick up a few large balls of the varigated yarns for this project. I've still tons of the solid colours, but it's possible that I'll need to buy more of those before I'm done, too. Still aiming for a Christmas finish for this one. It's a good Movie Night knit, and just flies off the needles when I'm otherwise engaged mentally.
Finally, my Midnight Swallowtail Shawl is nearing the half-way point, too. I am amazed at how the shawls are flying off my needles these days. ...and to think I was afraid of lace knitting! As of this posting, I am half way through the first pattern of the lily-of-the-valley border, and hope to have that done today - how's yours going,
liadra?
So that's what I'm up to these days. What is on the needles at your house?
