It seemed like a good idea at the time...
So, Vilmos and his co-workers have been pounding away at the update for the program they're writing, and looking good for having it ready for deadline on Monday morning. Then, his boss has the BRILLIANT idea that they should do the installations of the updated versions tomorrow! In the morning! Woohoo!
...the only reason Vil's home right now, is because I had to work tonight, so he had to come fetch the babe from the sitter, and be home when the boy got back from the ex's house. Now, Vil's in the kitchen, hooked up to the office, and on the 'phone to work. ...and it looks like it'll be a l-o-o-o-n-g time before he'll be able to hang up.
I'm sure there's some deeply vital reason the boss wants everything done tomorrow. But, I gotta wonder... Just how effective are these people going to be, trying to install the new, quick-patch-this-now-we'll-fix-it-later update in offices around the city, if they're up until past midnight tonight? And I have no doubt but that they'll all be up past midnight tonight...
I suspect that the rest of this week'll be insanely tense. I suspect that Vil won't be home anywhere CLOSE to in time to take his son out for Hallowe'en tomorrow. I suspect that I'll be on back-rub duty tonight *heh*
