+ I got accepted for this trip to Israel over winter break with a group called Meor Israel. I'll be there for two weeks and it's costing $399. Not bad, eh? We will have classes 3 or 4 days a week, a day trip each day, and lots of free time.
tobeginagain, are you still living in Jerusalem? Maybe we can meet up sometime while I'm there.
- I didn't end up getting pierced this weekend. Long story short, Carly was sick and had an unexpected expense, so we've decided we're going to wait until next month when
starlite25 is in DC and have a big needle party. Although that makes us sound like we're all heroin addicts. Heh.
+ I spent the bulk of today making pumpkin... stuff, I guess. I made pumpkin puree from scratch with this pumpkin that I got at the pumpkin patch with work. Then I made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins (which turned out eh) and pumpkin cookies (which are amazing and healthy). I think I'll bring some of them to work tomorrow.
- I'm pretty stressed out by school. There's been a lot of drama in my research methods class. My professor is taking it personally because we all hate the material and she's teaching us at a rate much too quickly for what we know. It shouldn't be this difficult and I may deflect to the other section next semester, but I have a feeling it will piss her off.
- I'm still feeling the blah effects of everybody being gone or too busy with their new jobs. I haven't become good friends with anybody in my grad classes or work. But on the plus side, I'm too busy to worry about having a social life most of the time. It still kind of sucks though.
+ I'm going to Michigan on Thursday. I'm really excited to go back. The thing that sucks is that I'm getting my root canal finished. But it will be nice to hang out at home again. I really do miss being in the midwest and since I probably won't go back for a long while, I'm going to try and pack a lot into my trip.
